Biography

Dmitry Zaytsev- composer, singer, arranger and bass player- had founded Rythmystica as an open project of his friends to illustrate the poems of Ivan Kirichenko- famous Moscow poet and painter.
Zaytsev was born in 02.11.1975in Moscow in the family of scientists. He got his education in Moscow Gnesin's Music Academy as bass-player and jazz-composer. He worked as a bass player in State Grand Concert Orchestra named by Youri Silantiev, also with different Russian pop-star and pop-bands (such as "Tea For Two", "A-Dessa", Andrew Gubin and Denis Klyaver)
As a composer he's got a 1st place in the musical festival - "The Music of New Generation- 21st century" in nomination "jazz-composer"
His jazz-themes were published in the book @The Melodies of Jazz Moscow@- the Russian analog of 'The Real Book".
The idea of making his own project appeared in 2006, when his close friend- Moscow poet and artist Ivan Kirichenko brought him some of his poems, which were inspired by Russian symbolism of the 1st quarter of th 20 century and and French surrealism
Dmitry in his song-writing is mostly inspired with art-rock, funk, disco and salsa and all that from David Bowie to "The Spanish Harlem Orchestra" are just the ingridients of his own salad, not more that ideas to "think different"
